On this page
Paperbell is one of the few tools built only for coaches: packages, contracts, a client portal and a coaching page in one. It is also now $97 a month. If that is more than you want to pay, or you have outgrown its simple page, here is what coaches move to and what each one costs.
The short answer
- Choose Calybee if you sell sessions, packs and memberships and want a real website with the booking on it, from $19 a month.
- Choose Simply.Coach if your coaching is long programmes with goals and action plans between sessions, from $9 a month for three clients.
- Choose Kajabi if courses and a community are the main thing you sell, from $143 a month.
- Stay on Paperbell if you use its group coaching, online classes and SMS reminders every week.

1. Calybee
Best for: coaches who sell sessions, packs and memberships
Calybee is built around the booking, with the website around it:
- A free discovery call, single sessions, packs and memberships side by side, with the sessions left counted for you and the client
- A real website, which the Bee (Calybee's own AI) builds from a sentence, your old site or your price list, and changes when you ask
- Intake questions and a signed agreement before the first session
- A client page with no password for their bookings and packs
- Reviews asked for after each session, and imported from Google and others
- Gift cards, discount codes and digital products sold on the same site
- Clients book in 12 languages, with times in their own time zone
Where it falls short: no group programmes with goals and action plans, no courses, no Zoom yet (Google Meet is built in), and reminders by email only.
Price: $19 a month billed yearly or $24 monthly for one person. Teams Bee is $29 a month billed yearly, with five people. See pricing.
2. Simply.Coach
Best for: programmes with goals and action plans between sessions
A coaching workspace rather than a website: client portal, goals, action plans, assessments, session notes and contracts. Starter is $9 a month billed yearly for three active clients; Essentials ($29) takes seven, Growth ($49) thirty, Leap ($69) unlimited, which is also where your own domain comes in. There is a HIPAA BAA, which matters for health coaches in the US.
3. Kajabi
Best for: coaches whose main product is a course or a community
Courses, communities, email marketing and funnels in one. Basic is $143 a month billed yearly ($179 monthly) for five products and 2,500 contacts. If most of what you sell is live one-to-one time, you pay for a lot you will not use. More in Kajabi alternatives for coaches.
4. Staying on Paperbell
Best for: coaches who use all of it
Paperbell includes group coaching, online classes, digital downloads, SMS notifications, contracts and payment plans for one price, with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you use most of those every week, $97 a month is fair.
Moving over without losing anyone
- Export your clients from Paperbell as a spreadsheet.
- In Calybee, open Clients, choose Import from another tool and upload it. Nobody is emailed.
- Recreate your packages as services, packs and memberships, or paste your price list and ask the Bee to set them up.
- Keep Paperbell until open payment plans finish, then cancel.

What is the best Paperbell alternative for a life coach?
If you sell sessions, packs and memberships and want the website and booking in one place, Calybee. If your work is long programmes with action plans and goal tracking between sessions, Simply.Coach. If you mostly sell courses, Kajabi or Podia.
Does Calybee do contracts like Paperbell?
Calybee asks clients to sign an agreement at booking (they type their name to sign), and keeps it on their record. It does not send separate contracts or invoices outside a booking.
Can I move my clients from Paperbell to Calybee?
Yes. Export your client list as a spreadsheet and import it in Calybee under Clients, Import. Nobody is emailed. Running payment plans stay in Paperbell until they finish.
