Kajabi is built for selling knowledge at scale: courses, communities, email and funnels. Many coaches sign up because the people they learn from use it, then find that most of their income is live sessions, and they are paying $143 a month or more for the course machinery around a calendar.

The short answer

  • Stay on Kajabi if a course or a paid community is your main product and you send marketing email every week.
  • Choose Calybee if you sell sessions, packages and memberships and want the website, booking and payments in one, from $19 a month.
  • Choose Paperbell if you want a coaching-only tool with contracts and group coaching, at $97 a month.
  • Choose Stan Store if you sell a few digital products and calls from a link in your bio, from $29 a month.

1. Calybee

Best for: coaches whose income is sessions, packs and memberships

Calybee does one part of what Kajabi does, the part a session business uses all day, for a seventh of the price:

  • Your website, built by the Bee from a sentence or your old site, with the calendar on it
  • A free call, single sessions, packs and memberships, with sessions counted down for you
  • Payments into your own Stripe or PayPal, with deposits, gift cards and discount codes, and 0% commission
  • Intake questions, a signed agreement and up to five reminders per booking
  • Digital products delivered by email, for a workbook or a recording
  • Reviews requested after each session and shown on your site

Where it falls short: no courses, no community, no marketing email campaigns, no funnels and no affiliate programme. If those are how you earn, keep them where they are.

2. Paperbell

Best for: coaching programmes with contracts and group sessions

One plan with everything: a coaching site, packages, payment plans, contracts, a client portal, group coaching, online classes and SMS notifications. $97 a month or $970 a year. See Paperbell alternatives for how it compares.

3. Stan Store

Best for: creators selling from social media

A link in bio store for digital products, courses and calls. Creator is $29 a month ($300 a year), Creator Pro $99 ($948 a year), with no transaction fees. More in Stan Store alternatives for coaches.

Keeping a course and booking sessions

You do not have to choose one tool for everything. A common setup: the course stays on a course platform, and the website with the booking calendar, packs and memberships lives on Calybee. If you already have a site you like, Calybee's calendar can be added to the website you have.

Questions people ask

How much does Kajabi cost in 2026?

Kajabi Basic is $143 a month billed yearly ($179 monthly), Growth $199 ($249 monthly) and Pro $399 ($499 monthly). Card fees apply on top, and Kajabi adds 0.5% to 2% when you use a payment provider other than Kajabi Payments or PayPal. Checked on Kajabi's pricing page on 4 November 2026.

Is Kajabi worth it for a coach?

If you sell courses, run a community and send a lot of marketing email, often yes: it replaces several tools. If most of your income is one-to-one sessions, packages and memberships, you pay for course and funnel tools you will not use.

What is the cheapest Kajabi alternative for coaches?

For coaches who sell sessions, Calybee at $19 a month billed yearly includes the website, booking, packs, memberships, reminders and payments into your own Stripe or PayPal. For courses, Podia and Systeme.io are the usual cheaper picks.

Can I keep Kajabi for my course and use something else for sessions?

Yes. Many coaches keep a course platform for the course and put a booking calendar on their site for calls and sessions. Calybee's calendar can be pasted into most website builders as a widget.
